Terms of Service

Leashkin is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform providing business management tools to independent pet care professionals ("Providers"). Leashkin is not a marketplace, employment agency, staffing service, or pet care provider.

Leashkin does NOT:

• Employ, supervise, direct, or control any Provider
• Match Providers with Clients
• Guarantee the quality of any pet care service
• Act as an agent or broker for any party

2.1 Your Relationship with Leashkin

You are an independent contractor using Leashkin's software to manage your pet care business. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship, partnership, or agency between you and Leashkin.

2.2 Your Client Relationships

You own your client roster. The clients you add to Leashkin are your clients — not Leashkin's. Leashkin will never:

• Market competing pet care services directly to your clients
• Solicit your clients to work with other Providers
• Share your client data with third parties for competitive purposes
• Use your client contact information to contact them on our own behalf, except for transactional platform emails you initiate

Your client data is yours. You can export it at any time.

2.3 Profile Accuracy

By publishing a profile you confirm that all information is accurate and truthful. You will promptly update your profile if any information becomes inaccurate. False or misleading claims may result in account suspension or termination.

Leashkin does not independently verify profile information. Providers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their profiles.

2.4 Insurance and Licensing

You are responsible for obtaining any business licenses, permits, or insurance required by your jurisdiction. Leashkin does not provide or arrange insurance on your behalf.

2.5 Liability for Pet Care Services

Any claim, dispute, injury, or damage arising from pet care services — including property damage, animal injury, personal injury, theft, or loss — is solely between you (the Provider) and your Client. Leashkin assumes no liability for:

• The quality, safety, or outcome of any service you provide
• Injuries to pets in your care
• Damage to Client property
• Personal injury to you, your Client, or any third party

By using Leashkin, you agree to indemnify and hold Leashkin harmless from any claim arising from your provision of pet care services.

3.1 Your Relationship with Providers

Clients contract directly with Providers for pet care services. Leashkin provides the technology platform but is not a party to any service agreement between a Client and a Provider.

3.2 Disputes

Disputes regarding care quality, property damage, or animal injury are between the Client and Provider. Leashkin support can assist with platform issues only.

4.1 Subscription Fees

Pack ($4.99/mo) and Pro ($19.99/mo) subscriptions are billed monthly in advance, auto-renewing until cancelled. No refunds for unused portions of a billing period.

4.2 Payment Processing

A 5% processing fee applies to all card payments collected through Leashkin. This covers technology and payment routing infrastructure. Cash, Venmo, Zelle, and other external payment methods are free.

4.3 Taxes

You are solely responsible for reporting all income to applicable tax authorities. Leashkin may be required to issue IRS Form 1099-K for Providers receiving over $600 in card payments per calendar year, or as required by applicable law.

Star ratings are calculated from verified service completions (paid invoices). Ratings are immutable and count toward a Provider's aggregate score regardless of whether text reviews are displayed publicly.

Providers may approve, pin, or hide text reviews displayed on their public profile. Hiding a review does not affect the star rating calculation.

Leashkin reserves the right to remove content containing hate speech, threats, harassment, personally identifiable information of third parties, defamatory false statements, or spam.

Your data is yours. Leashkin does not sell your data or your clients' data to third parties.

GPS route data and visit photos are retained for 90 days from the date of service then automatically purged. Financial records are retained for 7 years for tax compliance. You may export your data at any time through platform settings.

Free and Pack tier accounts display Leashkin-placed partner advertisements on client-facing documents. Pro tier Providers may upgrade to remove advertisements.

Our Privacy Policy is at leashkin.com/privacy and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Leashkin's liability for platform downtime or data loss is limited to the functionality of the software platform. Leashkin does not guarantee 100% uptime.

By you: Close your account anytime through settings. Data retained for 30 days before deletion for export purposes.

By Leashkin: Accounts may be suspended for Terms violations, false profile information, fraudulent payment activity, harassment, or illegal use.

Leashkin will provide 30 days advance notice of material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Worcester County, Massachusetts.
